the VOICES May Zarhy & Michal Oppenheim
The second collaboration between May Zarhy and Michal Oppenheim,the VOICES consists of a female ensemble of dancers and singers exploring, through togetherness, the possible connection between the medium of dance and that of music, between the materiality of movement and its comparison to voice. Through the creation of “third object,” neither dance, nor music, but both at the same time, the VOICES is an alternative choir, which is not limited to singing, in which the realms of voice and body are choreographing themselves through vibration.
the VOICES was conceived by May Zarhy and created by Zarhy and Michal Oppenheim. Noam Ahdut, Yuli Kovbasnian, Alma Livne, Michal Oppenheim, Zohar Shafir are performing the piece; light by Yoav Barel and costumes by Anat Martkovich.
