The Shelter for Contemporary Art

In 2015, recognising the need for expanded engagement with the diverse publics of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, the municipality allocated the neighbouring bomb shelter to the CCA to be turned into an educational hub. Our much-expanded educational programs are designed to attract schools, as well as diverse community groups such as teenagers, senior citizens, asylum seekers, and other underserved adults and children.

The Shelter for Contemporary Art is a vibrant place of inspiration, provocation, and reflection. Its educational programs for adults and children foster observational and analytical skills, dialogue, and creativity while developing digital fluency. With a special emphasis on video and technology, the programs focus on deepening the understanding of contemporary culture, encouraging a passion for creativity and knowledge, and providing unique and enriching tools for self-expression.
