The CCA and the Midrasha School of Art are pleased to present a lecture by Jean-Pierre Rehm.
Jean-Pierre Rehm is a French film theorist, critic and, since 2002, director of FIDMarseille – International Documentary Film Festival. A graduate of École Normale Supérieure who studied modern literature and philosophy, Rehm was a lecturer of history and theory of film and art and has also worked at the French Ministry of Culture. Rehm is an editor of Cahiers du Cinéma and a regular author of film and art reviews, exhibition catalogues, and artist and filmmaker monographs. He has curated exhibitions of contemporary art, both in France and abroad, including at the Cairo Museum of Modern Art, Rotterdam’s Witte de With, and Japan’s Yokohama Art Center.
