Palestinian Embroidery and Garments from the Collection of the Israel Museum, Jerusalem

Noam Ben-Yoasef, senior curator at the Wing for Jewish Art and Life at the Israel Museum, Jerusalem, will present and discuss a selection of Palestinian embroideries and garments from the museum’s collection. During the talk, Ben-Yoasef will present various examples of Palestinian and Druze embroideries and garments from the beginning of the 20th century, mostly by women and few of men, and elaborate on their variations by region and style. This event is part of the series “Salons and Kitchenettes,” inspired by Jordan Nassar’s exhibition “The Sea Beneath Our Eyes,” and it will introduced by Shachar Atwan.



The talk will be held in Hebrew.



Entrance: 10 NIS
