Artist Talk by Maayan Amir and Ruti Sela

Monday, August 17, 7pm The Exterritory project was created by Maayan Amir and Ruti Sela in 2009 as an ongoing art project dedicated to encouraging the theoretical, practical, and interdisciplinary examination of “extraterritoriality.” Several groundbreaking interdisciplinary iterations have taken place including collaborative research trips, symposia, video screenings on boat sails at sea, and publications, often in collaboration with a diverse group of practitioners. Amir and Sela will outline the project’s history and major points of interest, how these have been shaped since 2009, and their current research and practice.
