A Brief History of the Zombie: A Lecture and Film Screening by Doron Fischler

Tuesday, April 12, 7pm

Zombies are a plague. Until a few decades ago, there were no zombies. Today, they are everywhere: television, cinema, video games and throughout popular culture. How were zombies able to conquer the world in such a short time? Who was “Patient Zero” who started the epidemic?

The CCA presents a lecture by film critic Doron Fischler (“fisheye”) accompanied by footage related to the history and origin of the zombie and which addresses the questions: Where do zombies from? Where are they headed? Can we predict who will win the US presidential election based on the of zombies and vampires in film today?
