In 2002 The Center for Contemporary Art initiated Video Zone – The First International Video Art Biennial in Israel, that opened the doors to a variety of video works and experimental cinema from all over the world to be presented to the Israeli audience.
Since than, every two years, during one week in November, around 25 programs of experimental films, video and digital art, exhibitions of video installations and AV works are presented.
Some 150 artists from all over the world take part in the Biennial, and about 20 artists, curators and distributors are invited to come and share their experience with the Israeli audience.
